Place cards

Place cards are a popular way to make our wedding organized.
In my opinion, classic place cards, like on this first picture are quite boring.

With not much effort we can make original cards. Below I will present a few creative ideas,  which are easy to do by yourself.

Place cards from vine corks are great for vintage style wedding.

Ferrero Rocher place cards are an elegant idea, which is also a sweet gift for the guests.

Place cards which are put in forks are my favorite idea.  They are very simple to do and they look so cute! For certain I will use them at my own wedding.

Butterflies are also nice shape, but I think hearts fit better for the wedding.

Which idea you like the most?
Do you think that place cards at the wedding are necessary? Or maybe guests should just sit where they want to?

Alternatives for FLOWERS

Newlyweds often instead of receiving flowers, prefer to get something different. In this post, I want to highlight two ideas, which I regard the most interesting.

Teddy bears - Of course not for themselves, but for children from an orphanage. This is a great gesture, which brings a lot of happiness for the kids. Instead of bears, it may be other toys or school equipment.

Scratch cards or lotto coupons
This is my favorite flower-alternative idea, which I plan to use at my own wedding. Guests tend to give them to bride and groom in envelopes, but recently I made up some interesting idea how to do this in an unusual way.

"Scratch flowers" - I made them for my grandparents' wedding anniversary.  Sorry for this poor photo quality, but when I took this, I haven't intended to post it at my blog.

Other interesting ideas are books (for bookworms), vine or other alcohol.

Have you any other ideas? Or maybe you think that giving flowers don't need to be replaced?

Wedding budget

MONEY.
Unfortunately, it plays a crucial part in the organization of the wedding.
Before we start planning our big day, we need to set our budget.

How much money are we ABLE to spend on our wedding party? How money we actually WANT to spend?  Do we wish for a big and luxury wedding, or we rather want it to be small and modest?

Knowing answers to these questions, we can start to approximately calculate our future expenses.
On the internet, we can find many "wedding calculators" which are very helpful in our first evaluation. They contain average prices of particular expenses.
>> I used this site <<

When total cost is bigger than we can afford to, we must resign from something and start to seek cheaper alternatives.
Maybe borrowing a wedding dress instead of buying it? Or having a DJ instead of a band with 5 members? Try to find the best solution.

What is your opinion about spending a huge amount of money on this one day?
Is worth it?
